Lucian spent sixteen years on the standards behind online comparison platforms before joining Casino Guru: first as director of content quality at a personal finance publishing group, then as a methodology consultant to insurance comparison platforms.
Working across sectors taught him what makes a comparison site trustworthy: a method the reader can check, applied the same way every time and corrected in public when it is wrong.
It is the standard he applies at Casino Guru, where he oversees how reviews are researched, written, rated and corrected.
A rating is only as honest as the method behind it, and the method is only honest if anyone can read it.

Political philosophy and small boats
Lucian reads political philosophy late at night and sails small boats whenever the wind and his schedule agree: on the lakes and gravel-pit lakes around Bratislava, on the Danube now and then, and for a week or two each summer on the Adriatic with friends. His essays on sailing and judgement are collected in Tacking Into the Wind.
